This group covers the non-Asian restaurants, cafes, bars and food businesses that also appear in a mixed-cuisine food scene, including American diners, pizza, Mexican food, burgers, steakhouses and bakeries. Standard US restaurant norms apply: lunch and dinner service with a quieter stretch between, cards and tap-to-pay accepted almost everywhere, and a tip of 15-20% customary for table service. Fast food and quick-service counters expect payment up front and tipping is optional. Bars check ID for anyone who looks under 30, and the drinking age is 21 nationwide. Many restaurants in this group take reservations online through third-party platforms, while casual and fast-food spots are walk-in only. Sales tax is added at the register on top of the menu price and varies by city and state, so the final total is usually a few percent higher than the posted prices suggest.

Youngstown is in Ohio, in the Midwest, where summers are warm, winters are cold and snowy, and most errands are done by car; businesses keep steady year-round hours with the usual holiday changes. US addresses list the street number and name, then the city, state abbreviation and ZIP code, and Youngstown follows the same pattern; a suite or apartment number such as Ste 200 refers to a unit inside the building. The map link on this page shows the exact spot.

This coffee shop is located in a cute old house, which is super fun; however, both the coffee and the service are rather lacking. The worker in the back welcomed us and seemed nice, but the one who took our order was kind of rude. I ordered a cortado and my friend ordered a 12 ounce hot latte, and we received exactly the same weak drink that was oversteamed to a cappuccino like consistency. If you don't know what a cortado is, maybe just don't put it on your menu. The espresso wasn't bitter. It just didn't really taste like much. We were there on a Thursday, so it should have been open until 6, but at 4:59 we were ungraciously told that they were closed. Thankfully it was a very quiet place to talk, which is what we wanted :))

Shawna provided great customer service and service excellent tasting coffee and breakfast! Thanks for being open on Sunday, July 5th. The Ciao croissant sandwich was delicious and perfectly toasted. It paired perfectly with the Americano. Our party ordered the West Coast fritatta/bagel sandwich and Apple Caramel waffle. All dishes were pure perfection, a summer delight! Thanks again, Shawna!

I love this little shop. The atmosphere is very warm and welcoming. I love that is an old home and that has been repurposed. Nothing over the top. Just a very nice relaxing and clean environment. The coffee has never disappointed and was a list of fun drinks every month. Food is delicious as well. The staff is always friendly.

So for anyone wondering what a $9 avocado toast from this place looks like save your money. My daughter ordered to go got all the way home and opened her box to this joke. When she called to point it out, they offered her 50 CENTS off another meal. Like seriously? We normally support small businesses but this is a joke. Of course after driving 30 minutes home and having to go work is she going to drive back out there for the avocado. They seriously left off the most important part of the order, which left the piece of bread hard and cold. Needless to say neither of us will be ordering or recommending this place. Where is customer service anymore?

This is an adorable little coffee shop inside a vintage house on the edge of the YSU campus. I stopped by for breakfast when I was passing through town and I'm so glad I did. The coffee is delicious, as was the white chocolate strawberry waffle I had. There's seating in two rooms of the ground floor, in what I believe were once the house's living and dining rooms. Additional seating can be found outside on the porch and in the front yard. I only wish I lived closer so I could spend more time here, especially to try some of the other menu items. The YSU kids have it good.
